Jon’s passed every Google Ads certification. Again.

Our Head of Digital Performance, Jon Lee, has passed the full set of Google Ads certifications for another year. That covers Search, Display, Video, Shopping, Measurement and Google’s AI-powered campaign types.

It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last. Google certifications expire every 12 months, so staying certified means going back and passing the exams every year. Jon does it as a matter of course.

Why it matters to our clients

It’s current knowledge. Google Ads changes constantly. Bidding strategies, audience targeting, Performance Max and the growing use of AI across the platform all move quickly. Passing again now shows Jon knows how Google works today, not how it worked a few years ago.

The certified person is the person doing the work. We don’t have junior account handlers. The person who passed the exams is the same person planning, building and optimising your campaigns, and reporting back on them. Nothing gets lost in a handover.

It covers the whole picture. Search, Shopping, Video and Display all sit with one person, so your campaigns are planned as a joined-up strategy and not run as separate pieces. Measurement is part of that too. If we can’t track it properly, we can’t improve it.

It’s verified. These are Google’s own exams, and Jon’s certifications can be checked publicly. When we say we know what we’re doing with your ad spend, there’s independent proof behind it.

A bit about Jon

Jon has been with Sourcefour for more than five years and calls himself a “digital marketing nerd”. He’s the person the team goes to when something isn’t working. He loves digging into the data and research to find the edge that makes a client stand out, whatever sector they’re in.
