Hull College wanted interior graphics and messaging that were bold and different, not typical inspirational quotes. Our brief was to be bold, brave and playful.
We pitched an idea using puns and plays on words around ‘Hull’, such as ‘Welcome to Hullywood’. We created a series of tongue-in-cheek graphics and posters that resonated with students, creating moments of connection and humour throughout the building.
The playful approach worked so well that we extended it to more serious subjects like anti-bullying and welfare issues, helping important messages land authentically rather than feeling preachy
